So I hope to do a bit more blogging as time rolls on. April 28 Pilate Was AWESOMESaw Piliate last night in Waterloo after winning passes on chartattack.com. The Starlight Lounge is a small, but really funky place. They brought thier own sound system and sound guy and without a word of a lie the mix was the best I've heard at any concert. The Dude also agreed. They played a lot of tracks from thier new album and opened up with a fantastic version of Knife Grey-Sea (Andrea's fav track btw, but she had to hear the first minute or so from the bathroom, bad beat there.). They played some old stuff as well and changed it up. Into your hideout was fantastic and fresh. The ended with It's Alright and added a verse at the end (from what I rememeber) that was just Todd playing and singing. If I was in London this weekend I'd go see them again tonight in a heartbeat. If you can buy tickets at the door (they had it last night at our venue) I would STRONGLY suggest doing so. I didn't bring my cam because I thought I'd be too far back. I was wrong, but i didn't have a clean view anyways and the lighting blew nuts. For those that are heading to the London show tonight, enjoy because it's going to be f'in' fantastical. Anyways Scott Southward gave me the bug that they were making a movie so with my fantastic internet skills I went and found the site for the movie.
Got me laughing a couple of times, but Scott made a good point in that they better not keep all the funny shit for the movie and fuck us all over on season 6. I'll be happy if Bubbles just cries less, other than that season 5 was pretty good (I think season 2 or 3 are my favs so far knowwhattimsayin'?!)
Anyways April and the Summer of '06 is already shaping up to be pretty fucking sweet. I think that's a neat idea because trying to do that with the other style makes like a gradient of stubble.

I'm looking forward to see how Adobe brands the products and where they take it. I'm going to suspect that a lot of the After Effects stuff is going to make it into the next version of Flash (ie. MotionMath).

Introducing Pandora.I often get in certian musical moods and usually only have 1 or 2 artists that reflect that. Well along comes Pandora. This bad boy will actually take the artist you type in and analyize speed, pitch, feeling and mood. I typed in Yann Tiersen and it came up with a band called "Scout Niblett" and I actually really like it.

Oh and Amanda I know this will get back to you at some point, but I want to borrow that glowly orb thing as it takes some pretty sweet photos! I want to sit on it naked with a mirror below me to signify that the glowing eggs that I can lay reflect the world as we know it. That's some deep shit and the odds of me a) being naked on a glowing egg and b) finding a mirror that I could sit on without it smashing to a billion-kazillion peices is pretty damn slim. Not only that, but it sounds gay as shit.
So yeah, when I get around to it I'll post about The Adventures of Mango Man and Orange Lady, but to wrap up a weekend at work might make me feel a little guilty and since "the man" Rogers cut my ass off (for a good reason) I'm without net at home until Wednesday night :( November 14 I've got those good vibrations!Wow... More Free Google Stuff!This post is pretty geeky but if anyone has a website you might want to check out Google's Analytics. While being free this integrates with Adwords (another paid advertisment service by Google) to maximize your spending and to quickly understand what your visitors are doing.
I've added it to MX Projects so we'll have to see what happens in about 12 hours or so. The nice thing about the reports is that all the graphics and maps are done with Flash so they can make it look freakin' sweet while keeping the file size and server stress down.
I'm looking forward to messing with it a bit more and I'll probably get into the adwords program once I finish the 3rd version of my forum. |
